I hope the person who wears this set is enjoying it. It seems balanced between the formal and the informal somehow, but only for someone who is organically minded. I am beginning to understand as I revisit my photos that the ones I am draw back to are organic in nature.
Sodalite Beads, matching Swarovski crystal bicone beads, a variety of gunmetal accent beads, a black chain and clasp, sterling silver earwires.
Several months ago, a bead store sales associate told me blue can always be counted on to sell. Up to then, that had not been the case for me, but after our conversaion, her statement began to happen for my work. I do not, as a rule, copy my own work, but a customer wanted this necklace and with a small modification, I was able to recreate it just enough to satisfy my rule.
There is something about this necklace that draws me back to it time and time again. I have done my best in Photoshop Elements to bring out the rich colors of the beads. The large beads are artisan made ceramic, and the other colorful beads are Czech Glass.
Personal note: This necklace has been around for quite some time now (at least 2 years) and has drawn no interest. It pleases me, so it is difficult for me to take it apart and redesign it.
The cool blues and the warm copper colors sooth my spirit. I guess, in a way, I see it as being balanced between two world, earth and sky.
These flamework beads with dichroic inclusions are vibrant and warm when combined with the Czech Glass and Sworavski beads.
Kelly Luttrell's stunning pendant is a handcrafted, one of a kind piece, created by Kelly's unique process. I have added a touch of color to compliment the blue.
The gold-colored spacers and chain give these Czech Glass electric blue beads a touch of warmth.
I know it is not an absolute truth that blue has the most variations of color, but over these last few months, the varied differences have become my colors of choice. This is a simple design, and I am pleased with it. It highlights the 3 turbine chub beads as it was intended. It is interesting to me that the two faceted side beads, although the same, photograph so differently. Things that I do not understand fascinate me.
There are often many names for semi-precious gemstones. This one appears to be rhyolite. With any name, it is beautiful!
